Please find the list of events and jackpots we know of below. If you plan on attending any shows, please email the board and we will update the event to try and pull more breeders to show with you! Shows are a great place to meet like minded people that enjoy the breed. Shows with an (*) asterisks will have an American Aberdeen sponsorship/class or will be knowingly attended by one of our members. Clarification will be in the event description. The American Junior Aberdeen Association hosts an annual Junior National Show each June. It is held at a different venue every year in order to make use of different educational opportunities in the area and to help make the distance accessible to juniors in different areas of the country.
Youth members may compete in various competitions including skillathon, marketing, ultrasound, fitting, livestock judging, showmanship, barnyard races, and of course… the show.
The Queen, Princess, and AJAA Board Member interviews and selection are conducted during the annual Junior National, to serve for the next year. The annual meeting is also held and scholarship winners are announced.
